Hi everyone I never have actually posted on here but today was really rough and i’m just hoping for some support. Yesterday we took my bun to the vet thinking it was stasis as she wasn’t eating anything and wasn’t moving. After some bloodwork and an ultrasound we found out she had Liver Lobe Contortion. The vet said we should monitor her overnight as it was already late in the day and they were unable to do the surgery. This morning we found out her kidneys were failing and the surgery was too risky as her kidneys likely wouldn’t be able to handle anesthesia and she would lose to much blood from the surgery since her platelet count was so low. I had to make the difficult decision to put her to sleep. I’m so lost and devastated it all happened so quickly. I know I did the right thing since she was in so much pain but I can’t help but think I should have done something differently. She is my first ever pet and I guess I’m just hoping to hear it gets easier. Please keep her in your thoughts tonight <33 I miss her so much.
