Hi all! This is my bunny Violet (3yr Holland Lop), who some of you may know from previous posts, has had some issues with a bare chin / wet dewlap. She has gotten much better since then and it has been determined that the constant wetness from her water bowl was the cause of her balding chin. With this, I am looking to replace her current water bowl with a battery- powered fountain to help minimize the wetness on her face. She very much enjoys her water bowl and likes to stick her ENTIRE face in it. I am looking for some suggestions for battery- powered water fountains that are slightly elevated but can still be reached by my bun. Thus, I am reaching out to this wonderful subreddit to ask- do you guys have any water fountains that you use and your bunny likes / any recommendations of fountains to get? I am hoping to not spend an obnoxious amount or have to try a ton of them out. I was hoping you all had some good suggestions to ones you like / would suggest.
I am specifically looking for:
- Raised water fountain but not so high that my bun can not reach it.
- Battery-powered, as I do not want to risk her chewing that spicy hay (wires).
- Fountain that lasts a while.. I would prefer not to have to constantly replace the batteries although I know that is something I will need to do, but I am hoping to find one that lasts a while before battery changes.
- Preferably not too $$$
- Stainless steel, as constant bacteria is also a concern.
