Spencer, while he does eat quite a bit of hay, I felt like it wasn't enough. I've been trying a bunch of options from different typse of hay, to different hay bags, to just having it in a pile – nothing seemed to inspire him to go hay crazy. That is, until I got him a hay "bale" of compressed Timothy and Orchard hays and some dried flowers. I've never seen him so excited for hay! Turns out it wasn't too challenging for him to get at the hay the previous ways I tried, it wasn't enough of a challenge!
next experiment is going to be to try and make my own bales out of the gigantic bag of hay i have 😆
