My city buns live in a small two bedroom apartment and they for whatever reason like to dig at our vinyl hardwood floor which doesn't do anything, and I've wondered if it frustrates them. So I thought I'd give them access to a dig box that mimic their "natural" habitat so they can actually dig and make a hole!
With a lot of "digging" around this sub and the web, I made a dig box with coco coir and introduced it to them yesterday.
Their reaction was.. ewwww.. they jumped right out and started shaking off dirt and grooming themselves immediately.
I guess I should leave it in their primary area for another week or so… at least the basil I planted seems to have settled in alright..
Anyone had luck with a similar setup?
