Our rabbit Bruce is normally very active and social. However, the last three days Bruce has been acting really depressed/unwell and we arent sure why. Hes eating less and not coming out much. We took him to the vet and his exam was totally unremarkable. Not painful, teeth fine (one molar slightly long but not concerning), bloodwork normal… because hes eating enough and pooping she didnt give him any gut stimulants, just pain meds to see if it would help.
I also want to note that one week ago his sister, Fiona, had a one off incident where she briefly developed a head tilt and started rolling. The vet couldnt figure out what was wrong so we are just treating her for e coniculi and she seems great. Im not sure if this is relevant to Bruce.
Besides diagnostic imaging, does anyone have any suggestions for what we might look into with our vet if he doesn't perk up? Should we discuss treating him for e coniculi? We just don’t know what could be wrong. Has anyone experienced something similar before?
