Rabbit

My bun jumped out of my arms yesterday and started limping. Feeling immense guilt for hurting him.

Yesterday, I was holding my 7 year old netherland dwarf in my arms. I didn't hold him tight enough and he managed to jump out of my arms as I was about to put him down. He hit the edge of his cage, and started limping on his front left leg after the incident.

I've already called to arrange the soonest vet visit which is for tomorrow morning (GMT+8). Meanwhile, I feel absolutely horrible for hurting him, and it sucks that I can't tell him that I'm sorry and that it was an accident.

His appetite is slightly reduced today, which really concerned me. But he flopped in front of me earlier when I laid with him, and when he did that, I can't help but to feel even worse because it shows that he trusts me so much and yet I was still careless enough to hurt him.

I'm posting just to look for some comfort and additional care tips right now to tide through the evening until his vet visit in about 12 hours time. How do you guys bear accidentally hurting your little one? How should I check that he's fine apart from offering treats?
