TL;DR: For my graduation project, I’ll be making a video game featuring a bunny. I need short bunny videos as reference material for the animations.
Hi everyone! I’m an engineering degree student currently starting my last term before graduating. For my graduation project, I plan to create a 2D metroidvania video game featuring a bunny as the main player character.
My goal is to show as many natural bunny behaviors as possible by turning them into game mechanics. For example bunny chinning for leaving map markers or bunny bonding with another bunny as kind of boss “fight" or grooming and flopping for idle animations.
I’ve known since the very beginning of my studies that I wanted to make such a game. Sadly, about three weeks ago I suddenly lost my own bunny, Gin, to cancer, so this project has now taken on even greater personal meaning for me.
I’m not very good at drawing from memory without reference, so I’d like to ask for your help. If you have short videos of your bunnies in different poses or situations, I would be so grateful if you could share them with me as reference material for animations.
I only started recording videos for this project shortly before Gin passed away. So I don’t have much footage – and honestly, I’m not sure I’m emotionally ready to keep rewatching those clips over and over again. That’s why I would deeply appreciate your help.
Since metroidvania is a type of 2D side-scrolling platformer, side-view videos would be especially useful.
