My bunny is from the beach where I found her. I think she’d been surviving on cardboard before we took her. So maybe mine is worse but she is obsessed with eating stuff that would prob cause that terrifying bloat/ blocked intestines thing. I’m so scared of that. I’m very anxious and scared of organs anyway.
Do your bunnies often try to eat cotton or cardboard or anything they shouldn’t? I feel like I can’t give her any toys bc she will absolutely just eat them. She got her bag opened and grabbed a mouthful of stuffing before my eyes. Don’t get me started on trying to take something out of a rabbits mouth. It’s not a dog. It’s way too hard and scary to get in there.
I don’t leave things she can’t have around her, even the bed I was concerned over so I only let her use it while I watched. (She sleeps on towels she doesn’t eat).
Idk if this is part of the job or I’m just too anxious for no reason. Does anyone else’s rabbit do that? Any suggestions for toys or play? I make hay bundles for her sometimes sticks from the rose bush. Piles of grass ad hay to play with but I want to give her more like things to chew apart but all the material the toys are made of seem like bad for actually eating.
