I recently adopted two buns and I'm struggling a little bit. One of them has such a large booty dewlap that when she pees outside of the litter box she ends up mopping the pee up with her butt flap. Her feet and back end are constantly wet. We tried drying her butt off with some cornstarch, since baths are frowned upon, but she's difficult to keep still and sprays after which just re-wets her butt.
A little context: they were both adopted from a rescue, who took them in from a family who had them living in an outdoor hutch. They weren't fixed until several weeks ago, and are likely a few years old. My hopes were to litter train them and then let them free range in the house. They're currently living in a bedroom that we converted to a bunny room.
Anyway, I'm in their room a few times a day and clean any pee up when I see it, and I always put the pee in the litter box in hopes they'll get the hint. One big struggle is the brown one, the one with the butt flap, doesn't like when I clean the floor with vinegar spray, and will spray me and the floor sometimes when I'm cleaning. I'm at a loss.
Any help is appreciated
