Calla ended up at Hamilton Animal Services as a stray, but nobody came forward to claim her. She spent a few months at the shelter, and during that time she was spayed and vaccinated. When a spot opened up, were were happy to get Calla out of the small cage she was in at the shelter, and into a foster home where she has a lot more room to run and explore. She’s loving all the freedom she has now, and she’s lapping up the attention she’s getting from her foster mom.
A month after we rescued Calla, we rescued a bunny named Cauliflower, and he went to the same foster home as Calla. Over the next few months, their foster mom patiently and carefully took proper steps to attempt to bond the two bunnies, and it worked! Calla and Cauliflower are now best friends, and very happy to have each other for company. We’re asking they be adopted as a pair.
Here’s a note from Calla and Cauliflower’s foster mom:
“Calla and Cauliflower are such sweet bunnies! It’s hard to believe they’ve been waiting almost two years for their forever home! They’re funny, curious and so brave. Like most bunnies, they love tackling construction / demo projects and specialize in cardboard box renos. Lounging is another favourite hobby. They’re a friendly pair and will soak up ALL the love, head pats make them melt. They love food – pellets, hay, kale and parsley are favourites. They’re always SUPER excited to see you at meal times. Calla has taken a particular interest in the resident house cat Lucy (a Ladybird alumni formerly known as Margot). These two would do best in a home with lots of love to give and some space for them to explore!”
Please adopt Calla and Cauliflower!

Sweet, precious REW babies!!! I hope they go to a wonderful forever home soon! (Wish I could help, but I’m in the USA and not in the right state in life to take care of any buns at the moment)
