Top 3 safe food for rabbits – Part 1

1. Coriander/cilantro- contains vitamin C and A. Rabbits require both these vitamins to stay healthy. Vitamin C helps rabbits stay safe and adequately protected from diseases and strengthens their immune system. Along with these nutrients, each serving of coriander leaves is loaded with a potful of nutrients like dietary fibre, iron, manganese, calcium, vitamin K, phosphorus, etc. It may help lower blood glucose levels in the bloodstream of animals.

2. Spearmint (Pudina) – provides rabbits with natural antioxidants and immune support as well as essential minerals and nutrients for their long term health such as iron, potassium, and calcium.
*There are other mint varieties which are safe for rabbits

3. Capsicum/Bell Peppers(removed seeds) – Bell peppers are made up of 92% water. This means that they’ll help keep your rabbit hydrated in hot weather. They also contain traces of fiber, which encourages a healthy digestive tract. Thegreen bell peppers make a useful addition to your rabbit’s diet 2 to 3 times a week. The sweeter yellow and red varieties are more suitable to be given once a week.
