Went downstairs at 11pm fpr the nightly check of the pets, found her enclosure intact and her missing. I freaked a little. My husband remained calm, which I am grateful for. She managed to get out of her enclosure and led me and my husband on a chase though the basement and under a pile of lumber (no idea how she got into that room at all) so we spent almost two hours looking for her. I ended up luring her out with a treat and snatching her. She had the audacity to honk at us while we moved her. We ended up putting her in the time out cage upstairs until we figure out what happened. Leading theory is that she broke out through sheer force of brattiness. For shame, bun. For shame.

Is that her enclosure? I certainly understand why she wanted to escape. That much too small. X-pens are great and give them space to binky and play.
Rabbits are free roam animals, that’s why she escaped. The cage is tiny, she can’t even stand on her two feet in there. At least give her a dog crate or an x pen. Trust me once you give her a comfortable space she will stop escaping.
