Hanwha Group announced on Oct. 13 that it will become the first brand partner of Cinema by Brand, a film production platform unveiled at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF).

The group is moving to produce films centered on space-based solar power, using film content to promote its vision for the future.

Cinema by Brand is a platform jointly developed by advertising company INNOCEAN and ACFM. It connects companies with filmmakers to create films that convey brands’ values and philosophies.

At a special session held on Oct. 12 at BEXCO in Busan, Hanwha unveiled three candidate films based on space-based solar power: Moonset Glow by director Hong Ui-jeong, The New Mission by director Lee Jin-ho, and Solar Poet by director Edmund Yeo.

Hanwha plans to produce the selected films in 2027 and present them to audiences in South Korea and overseas.
