NASHUA, N.H. – Electronic warfare increasingly depends on the ability to rapidly sense, identify, process, and respond to signals in congested and contested electromagnetic environments. Military + Aerospace Electronics cordially invites you to a roundtable discussion with industry experts on 15 Oct. at 2 p.m. Eastern to examine the technologies helping engineers accelerate that process. This free event is sponsored by Acromag in Wixom, Mich.
Adversaries increasingly are employing agile and adaptive waveforms, low-probability-of-intercept techniques, cognitive radios, and other technologies intended to complicate detection and identification. For EW systems, this creates a need for greater bandwidth, faster signal processing, more flexible architectures, and the ability to adapt rapidly to changing threats.
The discussion will examine how engineers are using wideband receivers and software-defined architectures to improve electromagnetic-spectrum awareness, while AI-enabled signal processing and advanced algorithms can help automate aspects of signal detection and classification and accelerate responses to emerging threats.
The panel will also address modular open systems approaches and the role of interoperability and rapid reprogramming in developing EW capabilities that can adapt as threats and mission requirements change.
The webinar will consider EW in the broader context of multi-domain operations, including the need to coordinate capabilities across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.
Featured speakers will include Dr. William Conley, chief technology officer of Mercury Systems; David Jedynak, chief technology officer of Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions; Roee Kashi, co-founder and chief technology officer of Elsight; and Sean Baity, technical director, Growth & Innovation, at Textron Systems.
