Bunny

fur on nose is crusty and patchy

Title. He was found on the street, we've had him for 3 or so months. Is at least part lionhead. (Don't know if its relevant, but ive never had a lionhead. Thought maybe they shed differently???)

I noticed it about a week or so ago. Its confined to the one area. The fur was hardened, when I tried to brush it apart it fell off in a clump, attatched together with dead skin at the base. I thought it could be shedding since its warming in the norther hemisphere, so I continued to try to brush it away, but I'm worried now that I made a mistake since its extremely patchy and I can't tell if its growing back at all.

He doesn't pick at it, doesn't seem to hurt him especially, but it still worries me a bit since I know rabbits hide their pain a lot of the time, plus, I want to know if its likely to be contagious. (such as mites.) I have another rabbit, though they fight and we separate them (Long story. Got lied to about being neutered and current vet only offers one slot a month for rabbit neutering… working on it.)

Other stuff to note, he's been kinda sneezy, though thats been pretty consistent since we got him and before I noticed peeling. Vet said it was nothing to worry about if nothing crusty was coming from his nose. I haven't noticed anything like that.

I've had rabbits in the past but never seen something like this and am just looking for direction. TIA
