Help with chewing behavior

Hi there!

As seen in the pictures, our little lionhead mix loves chewing the sofa and the carpet, specifically in this spot. The gap is big enough for her to fit through, it's her favorite hiding place when we make food (she terrified of all the different kitchen sounds, like the beep from or stove or opening a kitchen cabinet lol).

We spayed her 2 weeks ago, she's almost 1½ years old. She used to chew this spot before, but the last week she's been relentlessly chewing it every chance she gets. And honestly, it's exhausting. Go to the toilet? She goes to chew. Shower? Believe it or not, also chew. Over half the time she spends here in the living room, with or without us being present, is spent chewing this damn spot.

We push her away (gently ofc), and say NO clearly (as if that would help lol), but nothing seems to help. This behavior was manageable before the spay, but as stated above, is out of control now.

Any ideas or tips what we could do to stop this behavior? Preferably without hindering movement too much, but if that's necessary then we will ofc consider it.

Thanks in advance!
