Hi all. My bun Willow takes Meloxicam daily for arthritis. I currently pick her up to give her the medication via syringe which works well for us. However, I'm going away in June for 10 nights and will be having a pet sitter and then my mother in law taking care of her and the cats, and I don't feel confident in them being able to handle her and give meds via syringe.
Looking for any suggestions on how best to manage this. I've read tips to put in food, but I don't like to give her any sugary foods like apple sauce or banana as she has a very sensitive stomach. Would leaving pre drawn up syringes to put over her pellets each morning work? Her usual veggies are kale, coriander and watercress which don't seem ideal for smuggling meds but perhaps I'm missing something!
