We boarded our dog overnight at a kennel 1 week ago, and tonight we discovered that he caught kennel cough.
Stressed, I have now just discovered this is an airborne virus that can be transmitted to rabbits.
Our two bunnies and dog don't interact with eachother directly, but they take turns sharing a common area (open concept apartment) and have been all week. Additionally our rabbits 'main' area is just a gated off area of our living room. Unfortunately the other two bedrooms in our place would be far too small/crammed to keep anyone in long term.
We've now gated our apartment in half, washing our hands, changing our clothes, and keeping an eye out for any signs of snuffles in our buns.
TLDR; Has anyone ever experienced their bunnies getting sick from their dogs (or other pets) before?
