My 5 year old male rabbit (right) began producing strange mushy poops yesterday, along with some uneaten cecotropes but ALSO normal poops. Normal appetite and behavior. I panicked and took him to the vet immediately and his exam was completely normal. I insisted on giving them a poop sample to rule out coccidia and it came back negative. We got prescribed Benebac probiotic (bunny yogurt lol) and sent home. But otherwise no answers.
Today he is producing totally normal poops but there is still a mushy one I see among the coco puff pile. Photo is attached of what we were dealing with yesterday.
I would love to hear other people’s experiences and any advice!
