My old man here has arthritis and is coming off of E Cuniculi too, so he doesn’t get around very well. Don’t worry – he’s on lots of treatment and has been improving slowly.
But, due to his weakness, he just constantly pees on his leg and sits on it. The leg has lost most of its fur and doesn’t seem to ever grow back. I’ve been putting silver sulfadiazine and A+D vitamin cream on the skin which keeps it healthy, but I want the fur there too.
Should I be wrapping it in gauze? Socks? Some other magical cream? The vet sees him Saturday but she keeps saying the cream should help and that’s about it. I might go to a different one to ask for a better answer.
