Both my babies (8 and 10, so yes still literal baby rabbits don’t argue) have sore hocks. I’m wondering what you all do to help ease the pain. Other than pain medications of course, as they’re both on a regimen already.
We have tried custom socks, which they rip off no matter the size and chew on. My vet agrees that we should stop trying socks, as we don’t want them getting stasis from ingesting the material. Cannoli, the black rabbit, has chewed up all bathmats and plushy area rugs we put down for them, so I’m hesitant to continue this method for the same stasis fear.
Their hutch and x-pen both sit on a carpeted area, and they are never on hard floors (unless they sneak into the bathroom)
Do you guys see that anything else is helping your babies? I’d love to hear some more suggestions about how to improve their comfort!
