Can a spayed bunny be hormonal? Ever since the weather warmed up, Blue has been ZESTY. She is destroying things, growling more than normal*, and just overall being feral and getting into everything. She is traumatizing her poor low-key husbun and he’s been hiding in the litterbox. She was rehomed to me at 11 months and wasn’t spayed, so she did get spayed later in life and had developed into adulthood. She just turned 3 now. It is hard to tell if this is an annual thing because last year around this time, my male was in and out of the hospital and almost died and they were both traumatized and not themselves afterwards.
Could she have hormones even if she’s spayed? It reminds me of how cockatiels act in their hormonal time. Picture of my monster lurking in the shadows for tax.
*for 11 months she lived in a tiny cage and had become very aggressive, but her growling/lunging massively improved once she was free-roam in my house and she does it rarely except lately she is extra spicy.
