OK, guys, I need your best advice here. Horchata got into the power cables for the kids' computers (because they can't follow the cord management rules and left them hanging down, but oh well) and chewed them up pretty well. Definitely got to bare wire. She's OK, but I think she discovered she likes the buzz, because not only did she chew the power cables in more than one place, but she's been spending the morning looking for any other cords to sample. Even non-plugged cords she's been ignoring for weeks. And the internet cord. All cords.
This isn't a huge problem for most of the household cords, because they are located behind a physical barrier in an area she can't get into (yet). But I have a couple of cords that can't be moved, so they're going to need some kind of covering.
Problem is that she's actively trying to get through the current covering, because she wants that wire. I'm trying to think of something I can use that isn't going to just be a general deterrent, but will actually resist a determined chewing attack. The accessible part of the cord is about 3 feet, along the baseboard of a concrete wall, and is fixed at both ends (so I can't thread it through anything). She's safely contained for now… but help!
