I’m beyond angry right now. I just picked up a new mini lop to make a trio and I didn’t inspect him thoroughly enough and he has a badly infected eye. I called the place I got him from immediately after I got home and opened my travel carrier, and they told me the only thing they could do was exchange him for another rabbit but only if I came IMMEDIATELY. I told them I had work and I could come the next day and they had the gall to tell me to call my work. Since I couldn’t call out of work JUST to exchange a rabbit (and tbh I don’t want to bring him back because that’s sketchy af) I had to call four different vets the second I got to work. He has an appointment, but I just need to know what to do in the meantime. I have access to medicine, electrolytes, swabs, antiseptics, everything. I’m also trained in pet first aid and minor care so if you describe in detail what o can do to help him I can.
