We did everything we could for her, and we gave her the best life anyone could have. She lived 7 long years with Pasteurella, fought off many infections, ate a peanut butter cup one time, fell in love with the dishwasher, and dug many, many tunnels. We were prepared to call the vet and have a home visit to put her to sleep but she went peacefully in her own time instead. I worked from home today and she spent almost the whole day on the couch with me napping and digging the blanket and flopping, and then she was gone. I had a strange feeling it was her time, so I let her have as much banana and strawberry as she wanted. I'm glad she did not have to go back to the vet again.
Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive over the years. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. I have said this before on this forum, and it still feels strange to say, but I know you guys can understand better than almost anyone else.
Goodbye Honey Bunny. Wait for me on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
