Hey guys
My bunny started eating and pooping less on Saturday. We thought it was GI stasis and, instructed by the vet, started the appropriate procedures and meds at home. However, she wasn’t getting much better and upon getting an X-ray done we found out her teeth are overgrown.
Her incisors are overgrown and her molars just slightly overgrown.
She will have to undergo surgery tomorrow to take care of that. Needless to say, I am very nervous and scared. She is 10 months old and spayed, so she has gone under before, but it never gets less scary. I’d appreciate thoughts and prayers.
I’d also appreciate some advice and to hear similar experiences. She does have hay available to her all day and she does eat it. I don’t know what else to do to prevent it. I’m really insecure about how frequently this will be necessary as it’s not a simple procedure.
How do you deal with that with your bunnies?
