We rescued Smokey a few years ago. He had been housed with other un-neutered males and they were biting and attacking him, so we took him. He was badly injured and had multiple spots with infection, which is terrible news for bunnies. The emergency vet suggested we put him down, but we weren’t ready for that decision. We took him to an exotic pet specialist and they helped us nurse him back to health. Thousands of dollars later (and a neuter) and he’s in great health. Now we’re working on getting him to associate us with good things, and not being held down for meds and topical treatments. It’s been slow going but he’s making progress! He’s so spicy haha
