So my bunny has this longer hair on the back of his legs/buttcheeks? (if that makes sense). I try to trim it so that its more hygenic and doesnt keep driagging hay around lol, but im always worrorried to hold scisors that close to him. Today he was stretched out and i saw he has matting there. I was able to get one of the matts out but he keeps getting super aggitated and im afraid to hurt him.
What do i do? I guess i can get someone to hold hin while i trim him? He will still be angry though…
Also out vet (small/exotic animal specialist) offers bunny grooming, but the thing about that is, he has short fur on his BUTT ONLY, so there is no need for grooming the entire rabbit. Do rabbits have an equivalent of a sanitary groom like cats? Going to get his butt trimmed often would not be an issue for me because he has fragile health and ends up at the vet about once a month anyway (next visit is actually already set up in 3 weeks, could i leave the matting untill then or does it have to be removed asap?)
