Noelle is very playful. Mochi is a grumpy old man in the body of a grumpy old bun (he’s only 5). This is the first time I have removed part of the barrier between their cages. There has been lots of switching sides and several very successful play dates in the kitchen. Earlier today they enjoyed free roaming time at the same time.
Just before the recording, Noelle had some awesome zoomies and Mochi was just chilling out, watching her. That’s what we were hoping to catch because it was super cute.
He was also coming up and sniffing her, and she would binky away and then return for more sniffs.
There was no aggression.
Then this happened.
My initial thought was that he was huffing in annoyance. But then I watched back and it looks like he might be either scared huffing or sneezing because she caught him right in the nose with the couch.
Either way, the wall went back up immediately after this happened.
They returned to their usual flop positions… she by the edge of the cage near the tunnel, he in the tunnel near the edge of the cage.
What are your thoughts on the noise he’s making?
Aggression? Annoyance? “Girl threw a whole couch at me, mom, wth”?
