This is Opal, she is 2.5 months old and I have had her for about 2 weeks.
History: I've had 2 bunnies prior to her. Most recently was Chester who sadly passed at 10 months old in September.
Why I think she hates me:
When we brought her home I set up her area for her. I started small at first and have expanded it as time has passed. She has a litter box, plenty of hay, pellets, water, a couple small toys, a pink igloo, and a soft sided hidey place.
I gave her space and time to get used to the sounds and smells, not forcing play time, just feeding her and refilling water.
Its been 2 weeks+ and she still runs and hides in her house or even behind her house as soon as we approach the pen. Ive tried just sitting on the floor with her and she does eventually come out but if I even move she scampers off to hide.
I dont know if im subconsciously comparing her to Chester or what but I feel like she hates me and is scared of me.
How can I help her trust me/us and foster a better bond?
