It’s been over a decade since I’ve had to spay a rabbit, maybe even two… BOY have things changed, what are these insane prices?!?!
My OG vet had an amazing technician that told me the price jumped from $500 to $1300 in the last year or two because the owner of the clinic retired and sold it to a company, who is trying to make this place more profitable.
I’ve called at least 6 vets, only to get similar or crazier prices.
Finally the 7th or so vet is still $500 for a spaying, because they are still privately owned.
I knew this was happening to my dog vet in the last decade, but it’s so ridiculous companies are holding pet owners financially hostage.
They know we would pay those prices if we had to, and that’s why they are doing it.
