My bunny Stink is 3 years old. Within the past couple of months he has seemed to be isolating himself. He doesn’t want to come out of his cage very often, and when he does it, it’s only for a brief period of time. He has plenty of room to roam so that’s not an issue. He seems very lonely. My issue is that his vet bills are expensive. I’ve spent over 8k to get teeth removed, and do surgery after surgery to remove infection. He’s healthy now, but every 3 months, it’s $600 to get his incisors and molars trimmed. I am a full-time student and work a part-time job. I try to give him as much attention as I can but I am gone quite often. He is very territorial and marks carpets and bedding. Me and my mom talked about getting him another bunny because my two dogs couldn’t care less about him. I’m scared that getting another bunny could lead to more financial issues down the road because dental issues with rabbits are quite common. I’m at a loss at what to do? Any advice?
