I brought home a 7 month old male mini lop from my local fair about 3 months ago. He has become increasingly more confident but also along with that increasingly more destructive and aggressive.
He has a great set up, in my room ( which is the worst idea ever but it was my only option other than my basement, but I wanted him to get comfy with people and not be in isolation in the basement.
So hearing of conflicting information of “ handle him early on so he gets used to it”
or the “let him come to you”
Iv done all of it but I’ve never handled him badly or aggressively ( im a vet tech and have had to hold bunnies for multiple things in my line of work always in a safe manner and I do not scruff) but I just think he doesn’t wanna be held which is why he runs whenever I go near him.
Anyway….. all this to say is he is becoming more aggressive and even when he comes to me so smell my finger he will punch me lol. This is a new behavior of like 3 days. I know I don’t spend as much time with him as I’d like but it gets annoying sitting with him/ near him talking to him and he just hides in his hides spot or punches me lol.
Will neutering help this behavior? In the meantime I’ve been trying to associate my self with all his special goods and greens. I really think I’m doing everything right on my end( if y’all have other advice in that regards feel free to let me know I’m open to constructive criticism)
I haven’t even let me dogs in the room with him and I was gonn start introducing them since it’s been about 3 months but since this behavior started I’ve decided to hold off.
