Hey guys! I’m a new bunny owner. Adopted this little guy from the animal shelter back in september, and it was clear he was quite a scared bun and easily startled. He is yound and from march. He is also neutered. He is free roaming in my apartment, has plenty of hay, has a good diet. But he doesn’t like to be picked up – at all! I have progressed a little with pellets, where I give him some after I pet him. We are at the stage where he sits still when I pet his head/back. But is he even enjoying it or just tolerating it and waiting for pellets? But I get confused because he is a VERY curious little guy and likes to get up close and personal, but as soon as I try to touch him he backs away. Even clipping his nails is a nightmares. He flops a lot, so it is clear he feels safe in my home. But does he even like me? Just not being touched that much? Or does he just feel safe here?
