I’ve had my sweet girl for almost a year now but I was out of the country for three weeks and she was staying with a friend. Now that I have her back, I feel like she doesn’t remember me, and she’s a lot more skittish than she was when I had left. I know the people that watched her took great care of her and she was happy with them, but I’m just wondering how long this is going to last. It definitely hurts my feelings because we were very close before I left, but I’m willing to do whatever I need to do to get her to trust me again as long as I know we will get back to what we used to be before.
Will our relationship always be different or is it possible for things to go back to how they were?
