One of my inspirations of getting a rabbit as pet was the local jackrabbits and snowshoe hares. One winter, one of the neighbours pile their snow outside their fence next to door. Now, this pile of snow and fencing was south facing. Making it a warm spot during the afternoons or at least a good spot where the sun would shine down. This white coated jackrabbit decided this spot was a great resting area to warm up in winter. So it did an would do this sphinx pose and make a flat spot on top of the snow pile to rest on. It was great, because usually I would drive to that corner and make my turn to the parking lot. Had a chance to look right at this jackrabbit for a minute or two before turning right. I’ve always wished there was another jackrabbit so you would have two jacks doing the sphinx pose just before you enter the gate. Just the typical lions and gated entryways you would see in banks or other important places.
