I hope I haven’t accidentally posted these before, anyway this is Saoirse (Sersha) today she wasn’t acting like her usual carpet shark treat addicted self, my partner asked me to look at her because I’m a weirdo I always catch stasis as it starts, I took one look saw her breathing was fast and she was hiding and said she’s in stasis, got my phone and rang the vets, while there my partner was saying oh she could be wrong and I explained some of the signs that she was quiet, hiding, not bouncing about etc and the vet agreed with me and said yes stasis, but when I found out the reason why and it’s due to having a spur on one side of the mouth cutting into her tongue I do feel like I’ve not done well enough, I got her for free and when I got her her original owner had no idea about rabbit care, what to feed them etc she was 2 months off getting cancer when I got her spayed and for a year she used to attack me and only me, now she’s a mummy’s girl, she didn’t like being at the vets or held but today she did amazing, she sat in my arms chirping away at me (she does this when she’s complaining usually about my partner) as I spoke to her, she let us give her meds without a fight and I’m so proud of her progress, I’m just hoping as soon as she’s gotten better from stasis I can book her in for dental work, she’s worth every penny because I can’t have kids and all my rabbits I’ve rescued (I paid for two rather then letting them be abandoned) and I honestly think they are amazing lil creatures.
Anyway I’ve waffled on here’s some pics of my girl she was talking to me as she was being groomed by my fella, he thought he could hold her as I brushed her but she went to me instead lol
