Hi! I noticed his face is drooping. One of my friendโ€™s bunny had this happen and it turned out to be an infection have you gotten your bun checked?

Hu, I read the other comments, and it looks like more than his eye, it’s his right cheek you should get checked. It’s really big, as if there was an abscess.ย
Does you bun eat hay? Rabbits that mainly eat pellets often get malocclusion problems.

  7. Kind of like when Thor was done with the coffee he threw the cup and demanded More

Oh my gosh! My own rescue lop has a very similar facial appearance! The right side of his face has noticeable muscle contracture possibly due to nerve damage after a combo ear and tooth infection in his past. He has a clean bill of health these days, heโ€™s just perpetually smirking and doesnโ€™t have a strong blink/flinch response on the right side.

Hi, really cute video! Noticed other people pointing out the facial drooping and suggesting it was an eye issue or an abscess.

Take it or leave it, but my partner is an exotics veterinary surgeon and said this looks like he’s got paralysis of the right facial nerve, which can sometimes cause eye issues, secondary to the blink reflex being reduced because of the paralysis. There are a few different causes, such as trauma, or e. Cuniculi, but especially in a lop rabbit she said she would be very suspicious of a middle/inner ear issue (CT or X-rays would be needed to confirm that).

Translation in layman terms: The facial paralysis itself isn’t an issue, but it may be a symptom of an underlying ear issue that can be quite serious if left unchecked.

Definitely don’t want to worry you but she said she sees this weekly and immediately called it out when I showed her the cute video so felt obliged to pass it on!

Looks like Hades is enjoying life and eating well anyway!
