Yesterday, my mom went to a livestock sale in Maryland. She messaged me once during her trip asking me what gender my rabbits are, I replied saying they were both girls, I was kinda confused why she asked me that but I wasn’t looking too far into until she sent me a photo of a buck. She said that he was in the back of a truck going to a meat house and she would rather have him than let him die (I had a very long talk to her and she understands what she did was a good thing but she can’t just throw rabbits at me and expect me to just be okay with it), and I completely understand, but I have no where to put him, my two girls aren’t very fond of him (I had a baby gate blocking them from each other), my one girl peed on the gate and the other was trying to attack him. He’s a very sweet, shy boy, I spent some time getting to know him and I fell in love with him. I’m just not too excited about the chance of babies or any fights. So if anyone knows any exotic veterinarians that will neuter rabbits in upper West Virginia or the lower section of Pennsylvania, please let me know.

I’m in Pittsburgh and I know there’s a place called Cheat Lake in WV that is an occasional emergency exotic vet option if we can make the drive out there, but I’ve never been personally. That’s at least where I’d start looking
I’m in Morgantown and take my buns to Cheat Lake vet. They’re very good.

Here’s an interactive map of both rabbit rescues and vets in the UShttps://rabbit.org/rescue/rabbit-rescue-groups/ Check with local rescues, along with reviews on-line, to try to find the best rabbit vets in your area. Despite the circumstances, it’s great of you to save this bun.
