I have two lop mixes (white 2 year old male and black 5 year old female). They roam free during the day but are caged at night because they like eating baseboards and sofa cushions when unsupervised. The problem is that I have to cage them separately because my neutered male likes mounting my female when they’re confined. Sadly, my male has to sleep in a small cage because we don’t have space for another large cage, which my female has occupied since we got her. To fix this, I’d like to set up a nightly enclosure that they can coexist in (I’ll add hiding spaces and partial separations to discourage mounting). Unfortunately, I don’t have the means to spend a lot of money on a space for them. I’m hoping to create a 4 foot by 6 foot area, but don’t want to spend more than $150.
Any recommendations?
