Hello everyone
Would appreciate it so much if you could upvote our post for visibility to help us out
We live four hours outside of Melbourne, Australia, and we’re looking for a new home for our absolutely perfect bunnies Lola and Duke by the 15th of February
We are moving overseas in March and we’re deeply, incredibly sad that we aren’t able to bring them with us, but we know in our hearts that they will be able to bring a new family the joy that they have brought us.
Lola and Duke are de-sexed mini lops, Lola is a female REW and Duke is the male sable point (we think that’s his colouring, at least).
They are vaccinated regularly and will have their latest vaccinations before re-homing.
They are strictly indoor bunnies.
Coming with them will be their pen (roughly three meters in length) that they sleep in during the day, with their Hol and litter boxes and lots of spares. They also have their favourite blankets, rabbit tunnel donut, water bowls, hay bag, pet carriers, nail clippers, critical care and syringe and basically just everything you would need (oh and hay and pellets to get you started so that you know the brands if you wanted to get the same ones or to transition)
Personalities –
They are full of personality. They adore each other and will cuddle up all the time and sleep touching each other. They like their pellets in the morning (a palm full) and fresh greens in the evening (mostly carrot tops, but also parsley/spinach/mint/celery leaves/small amount of kale etc).
Lola will accept being picked up and a big cuddle in the morning before pellets. You can pick Duke up for a cuddle anytime, but Lola definitely prefers her own time in the evenings, haha.
Lola does have a tendency to chew, and we manage this with apple branches, thick carrot top stems, and cardboard with no ink/sticky tape. She will try to dig a little bit so we’re not sure how she will go with carpet. Ideally you would have floorboards or tiles and put down rugs, blankets, mats like we do (or if you’re okay with your carpet being potentially chewed)
Duke doesn’t really chew, accept for occasionally cardboard, but he does love apple branches.
Lola is sensitive to other animals, young children, loud noises and heavy cooking smells, she’ll just hide in the Hol until she feels comfortable coming out. Duke is incredibly chill and nothing bothers him much.
We think they would be best suited to a home that doesn’t have dogs or cats, and older children (10 years and above, potentially) just as Lola is a bit skittish.
We are asking for a rehoming fee of $299 and we may potentially be able to drive them quite a distance to the right home.
My DMs are open so please message me if I can answer any questions 🙂
Thanks all 🤍
