i have a rabbit who is not doing well and has gi stasis but we dont know the cause. she went to the vet and got some meds but still no improvement. this will be the 4th bunny in two years to pass (if she does). 2 of them passed similarly (unknown cause of gi stasis) and one i had to out down after 7 months of around the clock care due to e. cuniculi and he had begun to do worse and worse again. i feel like i am cursed to not have bunnies even though they are my favorite animal and i do everything i can to give them good homes. all of them have been adopted and ages were not known but most estimated to be 4+ years. the one who i had to put down was estimated 6-8. i had them all for about 2-3 years before they pass. and i think i do everything right? they were free roaming, some had bonded pairs, they had unlimited hay and a litter box set up, they got wood chews (apple and willow were my go to) they got a little bit of fresh lettuce every day and a little piece of fruit 1-2 times a week. they also get a small scoop of oxbow pellets or browns natural behaviors everyday. i feel like im doing everything right but i have terrible luck or something. any advice would be helpful. and here's a pic of mocha (brown one who is currently sick) and espresso (black one)
