My bunny is free roam and spends most of her time by our dining table either loafing on one of the chairs or laying under the table. That side of the room also has her food, water, and litter box.
However, that dining room is connected to the family room where my mom just started to sleep at night. Now here’s the interesting thing about this… my bunny has started to sit in this side of the room at night close to where my mom is sleeping. Sometimes she’ll loaf on the floor by my mom, but last night she loafed on the couch right across from where my mom was sleeping.
Does anybody have an idea as to why she might do this? We think it’s because she’s “guarding” my mom as she sleeps, because as soon as my mom wakes up in the morning my bunny will go back to the dining table side. I have attached two pictures of her “guarding” at night. She’s also always been free roam and has never done this until now. 😂
