Hey everyone, I just had my first bunny vet appointment ever and I’m honestly overwhelmed.
It was a general checkup and spay consultation. The exam was $135, and we found out she has fleas so she got medication ($54). Then I got the estimate for the spay itself and it came out to $1,148.50.
I am not gonna lie — I’m kind of freaking out.
I do have some time to save since there are no male bunnies around her, and I bought the flea medication, but this is my first time taking a pet to the vet completely on my own and the costs just feel insane.
I guess I’m looking for:
• Other people’s bunny vet / spay experiences
• What you paid for a spay
• Whether this estimate sounds normal or high
