Hi, so my brother got locked up and my dad and I have been taking care of his pets since, and I’ve been trying to improve their lives.
He caught this bunny running around the parking lot of a local grocery store and took her home about 7 months ago now.
My boyfriend and I made the bunny hutch she’s currently in, which roughly tripled the size of her in-cage run space and I’ve bought her all of the toys and bedding she has.
We feed her about a cup of rabbit pellets daily, and I give her 2-3 alfalfa bricks a week to chew on as well along with a vegetable variety of whatever I’m using in my meals.
I try and let her out to run around the backyard as often as I can, but I haven’t been doing it as often as in the summer because I get cold really easily. I also intend on buying her blankets and such to “burrow” in, since dad won’t let her inside.
I took her into the vet today and he says she’s physically healthy, so what I really want to improve her quality of life.
Any advice is welcome!
