Last year I had to replace my lights 3 times. I even got on of the tubes to put the cord in. Right now I have a makeshift barrier around my tree. But she spends all day looking for the weak spots. And she finds some. What are you using to protect your tree lights?

I recently bought a Christmas themed cat tunnel, which connects in a circle. It was a hollow space in the middle that can fit around a tree, and my rabbits go inside it.
I use one of those folding puppy play pen things. I just wrap it around the whole tree and gifts. It has several benefits. Keeps Bun from chewing the tree, gifts, ornaments, lights, and cords. Keeps the kids from doing other annoying things like categorizing gifts by recipient and constantly manhandling the gifts trying to guess what they are.

I have one that loves the tree. He never messes it up. I guess his instincts tell him to hide under there.
