Hi I’m looking for any advice on my rabbit sneezing and anything I can do to help her, I’ve read air purifier , air humidifier etc but do any of these actually work , does anyone have any experience of this and what one should I buy ? I’ve tried her on so many hays and honestly I’m not sure any of them actually make a difference .
Some context is I’ve had her to 3 vets recently for sneezing , it seems to be worse after she’s been sleeping like a mucus build up , she will sneeze quite a lot when she wakes up and she snores . I’ve showed all 3 vets videos etc and none of them think they’re is anything wrong with (they are good rabbit vets at a small animal hospital) she had a really bad case of pastruella when we adopted her about 5 years ago and I think it’s really damaged her nasal passages , plus she is a dwarf who typically have deviated septum’s so his a bad combo . That being said I am overly paranoid of an infection returning and I was convinced that was what has been happening recently , but all 3 vets think otherwise and that’s it’s just due to her age maybe causing this to seem worse ( she is approx 6-7) and she is recently bonded so maybe the other rabbits hair , or that she is more relaxed when sleeping and it’s causing it to be worse ?? Honestly no clue but considering a 4th vet which I don’t know if that’s just ridiculous paranoia or it is needed .
She has some clear mucus coming out her nose after she sneezes which the ves also wasn’t concerned about because it is clear they told me to look out for colouring in the mucus otherwise it is just mucus due to her damaged nose but I am struggling to accept this even after hearing it 3 times . I have also attached an image of her nose which I have showed the vet and they were not concerned .
Any suggestions on how to help her or experience or if anyone really thinks I should see another vet . Thank you
