So I recently got a new female rabbit. Shes the sweetest girl ever. Not new to rabbits at all, though I’ve only ever raised rabbits from babies. I’ve gotten a couple conflicting answers on her age, but tbh idk who to believe.
I asked the pet store how old she was bc she looked maybe twice the size of the other baby dwarf bunnies they had, but they assured me she was “young.” I thought she may be a standard Rex baby, so I asked her breed, but they couldn’t say, so I couldn’t really tell if she was full grown or not. I asked a few more questions but they didn’t seem to know where she came from or anything like that.
Took her to the vet a few days ago for her first check up and they think she’s a mini Rex, 3 lbs even, and estimate her age is at least 1 year old, maybe 2. (Due to the formation of a small dewlap)
I still love her just as much, she’s my baby, but I have some concerns about trainability, since I’ve only ever trained rabbits from babies.
just wondering how or if I will have to adjust training methods, or if shes actually full grown?? Let me know what you guys think.
