Rabbit

Do they sleep more when stressed and/or overweight?

Hi all, this is Luna, a spayed 6 to 4 year old silver fox rabbit. She’s been having some stomach issues so I took her to the vet yesterday and they said she was fine just needs to lose weight and has slow gut movement likely due to stress of going to the vet. She’s been sleeping a whole lot since then.

She had some calcium in her pee this morning (not sludge) so I’ve decided to go down on the arugula. I moved her into my room about a week ago and she free roams the room. I’ve seen her binky a couple times today and she ran around a bit last night but she’s just sleeping all day except for short periods when she hopped up on my bed for pets like in this photo and to see what I was doing while I was changing her bedding. She already ate two cups of leafy greens this morning and will get some pellets tonight but I’m just wondering if this could be decompressing sleep or if I should be concerned?

Also last night she was having more tummy issues and so I gave her some infant gas drops the vet said was fine and a tummy rub and she got back to eating. If you have any questions or advice please let me know, thank you!
