Blueberry is home he is getting comfortable. He is eating a little bit. It’s a little bit hard for him to be in the letterbox but it’s OK. I’m helping him gently in it. He has ate some. Hey hey tune on some toys so I think he will be OK. They gave me pain medication for him. Two different kinds one for 12 hours and one for 24 hours he has to eat it while he’s eating food. I have to keep an eye on him then next week or two and then they want to see him back tonight. I have to supervise him New, jumping running hopping or being crazy like how he always is and I think he kinda knows that cause he’s kinda just hanging out. I have to check on his incisions every day at least once a day once or twice at the max to see if they’re bleeding oozing passing hot redness if that’s the case then obviously that is not a good son and I have to take him back And if they are not open during the time, I have to go to emergency bunny vet hospital and at least notify my vet and be like hey I had to take them here because you guys weren’t open but I did tell them to keep my number on standby just in case But as far as right now I think he’s doing OK. He is not allowed to excessively lick down there he’s allowed to lick around his body just not around the incision area not aggressively if that’s the case then I might have to get a cone for him and we don’t want that unfortunately But right now he’s doing OK. He’s just kind of mailing out which is to be fair but he did great with his anesthesia. This first time he ever been on anesthesia.
Tops for your buns just by experience since I been 8+ years experience so far but I’m always learning something new every day about these wonderful creatures But for future reference for your bunnies prior to them, getting spayed or neutered, never give them any sugary. Foods like watermelon you know strawberries do you know anything carrots anything that has sugar in it prior to surgery? Just keep a neutral Romain lettuce and hay unless your rabbit vet says otherwise. After surgery when they come home like I said, definitely check their incisions make sure they’re not bleeding passing hot redness as what the vet has told me reduce them running around don’t have them in a big area very small enclosure. I know they probably won’t like it, but it’s for their own safety good so they don’t open any stitches or whatever cars in the always hay and stuff even though they don’t want them to if they really becomes a problem also do critical care from Amazon. You can find it for rabbits and it’s very simple thing to use. I haven’t had to use mine yet, but let’s hope I never do. I don’t know how it is with other bunnies as far as surgeries. I would definitely talk to your rabbit vet about that since I never had two buns at the same time my last one passed away about year ago before I got blue so definitely talk to your bunny vent about that but any questions anything that you feel like is off call them do not wait and if they are not open and it’s during the night, definitely leave a message and then go to a bunny, friendly emergency vet and make sure there is one that is very experienced on staff so you can get the proper care that you need for your little one, but those are some of the things that I know if you want to know anything more please there is research videos all kinds of stuff on YouTube articles everything please and prior to surgery please make sure you ask for pain medication please please please please please that is crucial and if they say that they want your buying to fast before surgery screw that bunnies need to always eat so if they’re telling you to fast go see another doctor before you give your bunny a surgery they cannot fast but my bunny just wants to tell everyone thank you for all the support and care. I am washing his blanket and stuff right now, but he has the baseboard heater to keep him nice and warm until his blanket is out of the dryer. He’s on his waterproof bed with his girlfriend bunny, so he is good and having content
